Purpose

Huskies Against Harassment is a community-wide initiative designed to combat sexual violence, harassment, and discrimination at Northeastern University London by building awareness of support resources and strengthening a campus culture of accountability and care. The campaign centers on promoting the university's Sexual Violence Liaison Officers (SVLOs) as accessible, trusted points of contact for students, faculty, and staff, while reinforcing that every Husky has a role in standing against misconduct.

Message

"Huskies Look Out for Huskies."

Our campaign leans on the pack mentality associated with the husky mascot — loyalty, protection, and solidarity — to frame reporting and support-seeking not as isolated acts, but as part of a shared community responsibility. No Husky faces harassment or misconduct alone.

Campaign Objectives

  1. Increase awareness of the SVLO team - who they are, what they do, and how to reach them.
  2. Normalise reporting and help-seeking by reducing stigma around disclosing sexual misconduct, harassment, bullying, or discrimination.
  3. Educate the community on recognising misconduct, bystander intervention, and available support pathways.
  4. Foster a proactive culture where standing against harassment is seen as a community norm, not an exception.
