People impacted by a humanitarian disaster may have been separated from their families or witnessed the deaths of loved ones. Others may be unable to contact family members overseas or may feel overwhelmed with concern for their loved ones and home.
If you are impacted by a natural disaster, our Student Support Team (studentsupport@nulondon.ac.uk) are happy to meet with you to discuss any help you might need to support your student journey and can signpost you to appropriate external resources.
If you are struggling with your mental health, you can reach out to the Student Support Team or contact the NHS and speak to your GP about treatment or ongoing support.
Further information about the psychological impact of a humanitarian emergency can found on Doctors Without Borders’ website here.
