What is the Messaging service and how do I use it?
The two-way messaging service is a feature that allows you to continue communicating anonymously with a caseworker after you've submitted an anonymous report.
After submitting an anonymous report, you will be given the option to opt in to the two-way messaging service. If you choose to do this, you will be given step-by-step instructions during the report submission process, and will be given a 16-digit code that acts as your password to log into the messaging service.
It is important to note that this code is only generated once and is not recoverable for security reasons. You must save the code securely. If it is lost, it cannot be recovered, and you would need to submit a new report to get a new code.
Do I have to opt into the messaging service, and what are the benefits?
No, you do not have to opt in to the messaging service, and can choose to have no contact with the caseworker handling your report. It is entirely your choice and you should do whatever feels most comfortable for you.
If you do wish to use the service, it will grant you the option of asking questions or seeking advice without revealing your identity. You can also share updates and supply further information relating to your report, if desired.
